Cahuita National Park: This is one of the most visited national parks in Costa Rica. Home to an abundance nature perfect for hiking, it's possible to experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica. Cahuita National Park is filled with rich biodiversity and wildlife. Beginning at the southern tip of Cahuita, the park spans nearly 55,000 acres of protected marine environments and land ecosystems and 600 acres of living coral reef in addition to its land coverage.

Day 1: ARRIVAL SAN JOSE – PUERTO VIEJO (230km – 4.5hrs)

After landing at Juan Santamaria Airport, a representative will meet and greet you before guiding you to the transport to your hotel. Arrive in Puerto Viejo (check-in around 3:00 pm) and enjoy leisure time during the day at the surrounding beaches. Explore by your own the colourful town, shopping around, discover new flavours and the local gastronomy and have a good time!

Day 2: PUERTO VIEJO (7km – 3hrs hike)

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a walk of approximately 7 km along the path of the national park. Entering the park through the sector of Playa Blanca and taking the trail to Punta Cahuita, the tour will be a journey of beautiful beaches where you can swim in the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea, observe various types of wildlife such as sloths, face monkeys white, Howlers, anteaters, armadillos, raccoons, blue morph butterflies, birds and many other things like medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns, bromeliads, etc.

Day 3: PUERTO VIEJO – DEPARTURE SAN JOSE (230km – 4.5hrs)

After one last breakfast, at the agreed time, pick-up at your hotel in Puerto Viejo to transfer you to Juan Santamaria Airport Rica to continue your trip. 

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling. Sun protection, sunglasses, bathing suit, closed shoes, a hat or cap and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
